What will your job be
As Senior Field Service Engineer your primary responsibility is to coordinate the European Technical Service activities, and contribute to the development and execution of the European Technical Service strategy. Besides managing and guiding the Field Service Engineers, you also participate in the team yourself by providing competent technical product support at customer locations all over Europe. Your key repsonsibilities:
- Coordinate complex purchase and installation of analytical systems at the customer site, including system setup, user training, and qualification;
- Customer technical support including resolving complex troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance;
- Coordinate onsite measurement projects in collaboration with Sales and Laboratory staff;
- Participate in change reviews related to critical issues, and approving quality documentation
- Monitoring European Technical Services team targets and reporting of team progress to the Global Technical Service Manager
- Training of (new) colleagues on Technical Service tasks
What are we looking for
For the position of Service and Support Engineer, we are looking for a enthusiastic candidate with strong technical affinity, people management skills and the ability to work effectively with with multicultural customers.
- HBO degree in Chemistry or related field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Field Service Engineer or Technical Product Specialist, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry (or related)
- Experience with cGLP/cGMP is a plus;
- Strong people and project management skills, experience in a leadership role is a plus;
- Ability to communicate complex technical details to technical and non-technical specialists;
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and passport;
- Place of residence in or near Amsterdam and you are permitted to work in The Netherlands
- Willingness to travel within Europe up to 30% of working days;
- Fluent interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Dutch. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Where will you work
Our client in Amsterdam is the leading provider of specific analytical inspection systems used for the analysis of pharmaceutical products. The team in the Netherlands consists of 35 people serving the pharmaceutical industry. In this role you will be part of the Technical Services sub-team consisting of two Field Service Engineers and a Global Field Service Manager.
