What are you going to do?
As a Laboratory Sample Preparation Team Leader, you are responsible for the daily supervision of approximately 15 employees working either the day or evening shift. You ensure effective workforce planning, clear working agreements, and an efficient flow of samples.
- You provide daily leadership to employees within the sample preparation department and maintain a visible presence on the work floor
- You prepare workforce schedules and allocate work based on workload, staffing levels, and priorities
- You lead daily team kick-offs, monitor performance and turnaround times, and take action when results fall behind
- You coach employees, provide feedback, and conduct progress and development reviews
- You improve procedures and working methods, monitor quality-related actions, and ensure a smooth handover between the day and evening shifts
What do we ask?
For the position of Laboratory Sample Preparation Team Leader, we are looking for a candidate with an MBO level 4 working and thinking level and demonstrable leadership experience.
- You have experience with workforce planning, performance management, and coaching and developing employees
- You communicate clearly, take responsibility, and are confident in addressing employees and providing corrective guidance when needed
- Experience managing employees in a production or laboratory environment is an advantage
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 or experience working in an accredited environment is an advantage
- You have at least B2-level proficiency in both Dutch and English
(32 - 40 hours/week)

- Long-term employment, starting with a one-year contract through CheckMark
- Salary indication of €3,400 to €4,500 gross per month based on full-time employment
- Employment of 32–40 hours per week
- Day shift or evening shift
