What happens when I register with CheckMark?
After your registration, a recruiter will contact you for an introductory meeting. We will discuss your wishes, ambitions and possibilities. We will then actively look for a suitable job for you.
What is the application process like at CheckMark?
The process starts with your registration and an introductory meeting. We then match your profile with suitable vacancies. When a match is found, we will introduce you to the client and guide you through the application process.
Which documents do I need to submit when I register?
When you register, we ask you for your CV and contact details.
What do I need to bring with me when I visit you for an interview?
Please bring an updated CV and valid proof of ID. Bringing along your qualifications, diplomas, certificates and any references may also be useful. Preparation is important, so write down any questions you have about the job or the application process.
Do I have to visit CheckMark for an interview?
No, you can choose to have the interview online or physically at our office.
Will I be reimbursed for travel expenses when going on job interviews?
Travel expenses for job interviews at CheckMark are not reimbursed. When travelling to attend an interview with a client, the company may or may not reimburse you. Please check with your recruiter.
How does CheckMark prepare me for a job interview with a client?
We will provide you with detailed information about the company and the position. We also offer tips for the job interview and discuss possible questions you can expect.
Do you check references?
Yes, we check references to form a clear picture of your work experience and reliability. We always do this in consultation with you.
Do you charge fees for registration and/or intermediary services?
No, registration with CheckMark and its intermediary services are completely free of charge for candidates.
How long before I graduate do I need to register?
We recommend registering approximately six months before you graduate. This way we can help you orientate yourself on the job market in a timely manner and possibly even find a job you can start immediately after you graduate.
Does CheckMark offer opportunities for internships or graduation projects?
No, CheckMark does not act as an intermediary for work placements or graduation internships. However, we can advise you about this. Please contact us if you have any questions about this or would like tips and advice on work placements or graduation internships.
Do I need to include a cover letter?
A cover letter is not always mandatory, but it is recommended. It gives you the opportunity to explain your reasons for applying and suitability for the position.
How do I know if my application has been received?
After you have submitted your application, you will receive automatic confirmation by e-mail. If you do not hear from us within five business days, please contact your recruiter.

Can I advertise vacancies on your site?
We do not advertise vacancies. We can however handle your vacancy as a secondment assignment or provide recruitment and selection services. We always mediate on a no cure, no pay basis.
What are the costs of posting a vacancy?
Posting a vacancy is free of charge. We work entirely on a no cure no pay basis. You only start paying for our services when you effectively contract a candidate or have him or her seconded through us.
Do you work with a G-account?
Yes, we work with a G-account for the safe and responsible handling of payroll taxes and social security contributions.
Do I owe you any fees if you are unable to source a candidate?
No, you will only be charged following a successful placement.
Do you require exclusivity when sourcing a candidate?
Exclusivity is not mandatory, but can improve the speed and quality of the process. Please contact us to discuss the possibilities.
Can I take over seconded candidates from you?
Yes, after a certain period, you can take over seconded candidates, either free of charge or at a reduced rate. This is agreed in advance.
When taking over a candidate, can I give the seconded employee a temporary contract?
Yes, in the event of a takeover, you can give the seconded employee a temporary contract, but this depends on the term and the number of contracts that the relevant employee has had to date. If you want to take over a candidate, we will advise you on your options.
How does CheckMark ensure that candidates match my specific requirements?
We ensure a thorough pre-selection process by conducting extensive interviews with candidates and checking references. In addition, we rely on our industry expertise to find the best possible match.
What’s the difference between secondment and recruitment & selection?
In the event of secondment, the candidate remains employed by CheckMark while working for you. In the event of recruitment & selection, the candidate is employed directly by you.
How does CheckMark’s secondment process work?
We select and recruit candidates who meet your requirements. Once matched, the candidate remains employed by CheckMark while working for you. You can take over the candidate later on, if this is what you both want.
What are the advantages of secondment through CheckMark?
Secondment offers flexibility, reduces risk and provides access to specialist expertise without long-term commitments.
What are the rates for secondment?
The rates for secondment depend on the position and duration of the assignment. Please contact us for a customised quote.
How quickly can CheckMark put forward a suitable candidate?
The speed depends on the specificity of the position, but we aim to present suitable candidates within a few days.
Are you affiliated with a trade association?
Yes, CheckMark is affiliated with the NBBU, the Dutch Association of Intermediary Organisations and Temporary Employment Agencies.
Are you bound by a collective agreement?
Yes, CheckMark’s seconded employees are covered by the NBBU collective agreement for agency workers.
