What are you going to do?
As Team Leader Laboratory Chemistry, you are responsible for the day-to-day management and further development of the GC team. You will not work as a hands-on analyst yourself, but will focus on people, capacity, quality, and continuous improvement.
- You manage the team on a daily basis, focusing on progress, quality, priorities, and turnaround times
- You prepare and monitor staffing and capacity plans and ensure that the team has sufficient knowledge and the required authorizations
- You coach and develop employees and oversee training, assessment, and the continued assurance of professional competence
- Together with the team, you improve GC processes and safeguard quality through SOPs, audits, and the follow-up of deviations
- You monitor equipment availability and coordinate with other departments on capacity, equipment failures, re-analyses, and improvements
What do we ask?
For the position of Team Leader Laboratory Chemistry, we are looking for an experienced laboratory professional with in-depth knowledge of GC and demonstrable experience in supervising or coordinating employees.
- You have at least MBO-4 level vocational education and working proficiency within a chemical or analytical environment
- You have extensive hands-on experience with gas chromatography at senior level and are able to provide technical guidance to the team
- You have experience in coaching, developing, and supervising employees within a laboratory environment
- Experience with HR-MS, Purge & Trap, LIMS, quality procedures, or audits within an accredited laboratory is considered an advantage
- You have at least B2-level proficiency in both Dutch and English

- A gross monthly salary ranging from €3,847 to €6,136 based on full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience
- A full-time position of 40 hours per week, working daytime hours on-site in Deventer

Where will you be working?
Our client in Deventer is an international and accredited laboratory specializing in environmental and water analysis. The laboratory analyzes a range of samples, including soil, air, water, and wastewater samples.
