What are you going to do?
As a Senior Product Developer (R&D), you will be responsible for developing and scaling various toilet additives, including toilet fluids, cleaning agents for waste and greywater tanks, and specialized maintenance products. Additionally, you will continuously gather knowledge for innovative product ideas, formulations, and testing setups. Common tasks will include:
- Developing chemical formulations for new products, while considering project criteria such as product claims, costs, regulations, and manufacturability
- Improving the existing product range through cost savings and innovation
- Conducting (market) research into new suitable components and collaborating with external suppliers, laboratories, and manufacturers to apply product innovations
- Translating marketing and sales briefings, as well as customer inquiries, into new product solutions
- Testing products on a pilot scale (in the lab) and on a larger scale at the production site in Etten-Leur
- Collaborating with multiple disciplines in cross-functional teams to bring new products to market. In these project teams, you will represent the R&D department and make decisions on technical matters.
What do we ask?
For the role of Senior Product Developer (R&D), we are looking for an enthusiastic and creative HBO or university graduate with a background in product development. Additionally, you identify with the following profile:
- At least 5 years of work experience, preferably in product development or research & development in fast-moving consumer goods
- A completed laboratory education in fields such as (analytical) chemistry, chemical engineering, or biochemistry
- Basic knowledge of environmental and chemical regulations is a plus
- You are creative, analytical, resilient, decisive, persuasive, flexible, and an enthusiastic team player
- You are skilled at participating in multidisciplinary projects and teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English; knowledge of German is a plus

Our client in Breda is a leading producer and developer of high-quality toilet additives, sanitary systems, refrigerators, and cooking appliances for the camping and marine markets. With 900 employees working across 8 offices in Europe, Australia, and China, they collaborate on product innovations and improvements to achieve the best results for their diverse customers. You will be part of an R&D team consisting of three (senior) product developers.
