What are you going to do?

As a Senior QC Microbiology Analyst, you will be involved in various projects, contributing to process and analytical improvements within the department. You will collaborate with Production, QA, and supporting departments to enhance workflows and quality standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting microbiological quality control tests while supporting and mentoring junior analysts.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in departmental and cross-functional projects as a subject matter expert.
  • Writing trend reports for environmental monitoring and utility monitoring.
  • Investigating and reporting deviations in results.
  • Documenting process and system changes.
  • Supporting daily microbiological monitoring and analysis programs to ensure quality assurance in pharmaceutical production processes, in compliance with SOPs and GMP standards.
  • Mentoring and assisting junior analysts.

What do we ask?

For the position of Senior QC Microbiology Analyst, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic microbiology analyst with strong organizational and coordination skills. You recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • HLO degree in a relevant Life Sciences field.
  • At least 3 years of experience performing classical microbiological tests (total viable count, endotoxin, bioburden, etc.) is required.
  • Experience in a QC GMP environment within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in process improvement is preferred.
  • Preferably experience with LIMS/SAP systems.
  • A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is required.

What do we have to offer?

  • Long-term employment, starting with a contract through CheckMark on a secondment basis.
  • Salary indication starting from €3,150 gross per month based on a 40-hour workweek.
  • Fulltime position (40 hours/week), with the option to work 32 hours/week.
  • Fixed 13th-month payment.
  • Day shift, with occasional weekend work (~13 times per year).

Our client is an international pharmaceutical company based in Amsterdam, playing a significant role in the development of new medicines and technologies aimed at improving health. The Quality Control department is a key player in ensuring quality and product release. The team consists of approximately 10 people, and the work atmosphere is informal and approachable.
