What are you going to do?

In the role of Project Manager in Analytical Chemistry, you coordinate the analysis of unknown materials (such as particles and impurities) in various products for clients in the food, feed, and pharmaceutical industries. You are also responsible for managing urgent requests, developing analytical plans, and coordinating analysts to provide insights for risk analyses and toxicological evaluations.

Your tasks include:

  • Translating customer inquiries into a suitable analysis plan using analytical chemical techniques (including HPLC, GC, ICP, FT-IR).
  • Proactively directing analysts and associated laboratory work.
  • Drawing conclusions from the results and clearly reporting them to the client.
  • Effectively communicating with clients about project content and progress.
  • Collaborating with specialists, where method development using the latest techniques is essential.

What do we ask?

In the role of Project Manager in Analytical Chemistry, you combine your scientific expertise with strong project management skills to provide solutions to clients in the food, feed, and pharmaceutical industries.

You bring the following qualities with you:

  • Possess a Master's or PhD in an analytical chemistry discipline, essential for performing and understanding complex analytical techniques.
  • Experience with techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, GC, ICP, FT-IR, and SEM, with the ability to interpret data and draw conclusions.
  • Extensive experience as a Scientist or Project Manager in the pharmaceutical or food industry, with knowledge of product quality and process efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills (Dutch and English) for effective customer contact and managing relationships with stakeholders and analysts, both internally and externally.
  • Capable of operating strategically with an overview as well as contributing hands-on in the laboratory when necessary.
4000 - 6500 per month
one-year contract with option for permanent
(40 hours/week)
