What are you going to do?
As a Chemical Analyst, you are responsible for performing instrumental, physical-chemical, and wet chemical analyses on rennets and coatings used in cheese production. A selection of your responsibilities includes:
- Conducting a wide range of chemical techniques such as HPLC, titrations, pH and viscosity measurements, and various product-specific tests
- Managing and maintaining equipment, including calibrations, troubleshooting, and serving as a point of contact as malfunctions occurs
- Participating in the implementation of a new LIMS system
- Next to performing routine analyses, you will also contribute to method validations and optimizations
What do we ask?
For the role of Chemical Analyst, we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven candidate with relevant experience in chemical analysis within the food industry. Additionally, you recognizes yourself in the following profile:
- MBO-4 diploma within Chemistry. HBO candidates who aspire a hands-on laboratory role are also welcome to apply
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant chemical work experience, preferably within the food industry
- Knowledge and experience in method validation and optimization are a plus, as is experience with LIMS systems
- You are resilient, flexible, quality-conscious, and capable of working independently
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
(32 - 40 hours/week)

- Long-term employment, starting with a 7-month contract through CheckMark
- Salary indication starting from €3200 gross per month based on full-time
- Full-time position, 32 hours per week is negotiable
- Day shift
Where will you be working?
Our client in Leeuwarden is an international player in the food industry. The QC department at this location consists of two teams: chemistry and microbiology. The chemistry team comprises 4 analysts.
