Wat ga je doen

As a Technician Food Proteins you will co-develop food concepts (across various food applications) and markets with improved sensory performance and consumer acceptance. To this end you will perform experiments with existing and new raw materials and enzymes. Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Deliver experimental results based on established experimental protocols and interpret the results with support of senior colleagues
  • Perform basic (biochemical) characterization of our products and industry benchmarks
  • Develop applications for both current and innovation products
  • Participate in setting up new experimental protocols
  • Support the protein team with sample management (incl. tracking and storage)
  • Adhere to the specific procedures, guidelines and regulations with regards to hygiene, quality, environment, safety and other relevant standards

Wat vragen wij

For the role as Technician Food Proteins we are looking for a motivated candidate who would like to strengthen this Protein team to solve some of today's food challenges. We ask for:

  • BSc degree in Food Science, Technology or Design, or equivalent discipline, or an equivalent ability through work experience.
  • Experience in the development of food concepts with attention to texture and flavor
  • Furthermore you have worked with proteins, and have a track record of successful lab work
  • Experience with, or a proven interest in, the use of digital tools to apply data management
  • You love to work in the lab in a precise and reproducable manner, show initiative, like to learn new things, and you are a team player
  • Fluent English and Dutch language skills, both spoken and written

  • Salary indication from €2800,- gross per month based on a full-time position
  • Full-time position (40 hours/week), where 32 hours a week is negotiable
