Wat ga je doen?
As Senior Technician DSP you will be responsible for the experimental work to develop processes to recover food enzymes (and other biological products) from fermentation or biomass-derived feedstocks. Your responsibilities include:
- Organize and independently perform downstream processing experiments in the laboratory (including bench scale) and occasionally support pilot plant scale trials
- You make use of a wide range of DSP techniques such as filtration, centrifugation, extraction, crystallization, drying and formulation both in laboratory and pilot-scale
- Optimize downstream process parameters through scaled-down experiments, and support product development by replicating technical and food-grade product samples at lab and pilot scales
- Analyze the collected data, and produce comprehensive reports with data supported conclusions. Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to interpret experimental data
- Maintain and troubleshoot downstream processing and analytical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards
- Collaborate closely with scientists and experts to design experiments
Wat vragen wij?
As Senior Technician DSP we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate who recognize him- or herself in the following profile:
- Hbo or MSc degree in Biochemistry, Life Science & Technology, Food Technology, Materials Chemistry or related field (not PhD level). Highly skilled MBO-4 candidates or those with equivalent experience are also welcome to apply
- Up to 5 years of experience in downstream bioprocessing (DSP), particularly in handling fermentation broths, designing processing setups, and performing data analysis
- Familiarity with hygienic food production processes for creating food-grade customer samples
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a result-oriented, flexible, and team-focused personality
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, with excellent communication skills
(40 uur/week)
Wat hebben wij te bieden?
- A 6 months contract at CheckMark, with the possibility of an extension
- Salary indication from €3500,- gross per month based on a full-time position
- Full-time position, where 32 hours a week is negotiable
- Dayshift
