Wat ga je doen
As a Researcher Electrochemistry you will investigate the
electrochemical reduction of CO2 to more valuable molecules, such as CO
or hydrocarbons. Because this research is still in an early stage you
will need a true R&D mindset and want to be a pioneer in this field.
Examples of the current lab capabilities are: Membrane testing,
Electrodialysis, co-electrolyzer single cell testing and electrocatalyst
testing.
Tasks:
- Synthesize, manufacture, design and
characterize electrocatalysts/electrodes/catalyst-electrolyte systems
for CO2 electrochemical reduction
- Design electrochemical cells and setup
- Measure catalyst activity, selectivity and durability
- Help to build and develop capabilities for the electrochemical lab
- Operate/maintain low pressure units for electrochemical CO2/CO reduction
Wat vragen wij
From a Researcher Electrochemistry we ask the following:
- A BSc/hbo or MSc in electrochemistry is a strong requirement
- At least 1-3 years of experience with electrochemistry in an industrial environment
- You have a research oriented mindset and a hands-on mentality
- Fluent English language skills and capable of giving targeted presentations for different audiences
Wat hebben we te bieden
- 1 year contract via ChecMmark Labrecruitment with the option of extension and possibly permanent contract at the company
- Salary indication between €2500 - €4000,- gross/month based on fulltime
- Fulltime position (40 hours), but working 32 hours/week is negotionable
Waar ga je aan de slag
Our international client in Amsterdam is investigating novel ways to convert or separate molecules using renewable energy sources. This position will be located in the electrochemical lab in a team of 10 people.
