With your knowledge of software development and automation, you play a pivotal role in IT development projects. This way, you provide data management solutions  for laboratory results, scientific data etc. You wok in multidisciplinary projects teams to develop new paperless opportunities in compliance with guidelines that apply in a biopharmaceutical company.

What will your job be

As Laboratory Software Specialist you develop lab systems and software solutions. In multidisciplinary projects you work on scientific data mangement systems (SDMS) and laboratory management sytems (LIMS). Moreover, you identify gaps and act upon those, pursuing continuous improvement, 

  • For several departments (laboratoratories) with specfic expertise and requirements you develop laboratory software solutions. You have a pivotal role in these projects. Porject management skills are thus essential
  • Lab systems variate from (standalone) analytical equipment to complex global platform projects like LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems), SDMS (Scientific Data Management System) and future new paperless opportunities
  • The software enable monitoring of quality, data management, data integrity, GMP compliance, new systems processes and standards. This needs to be supported and needs to be improved continually
  • Within the projects tou collaborate with specialized sub teams: Automation, Change Control & Deviations, Compliance, Equipment Life Cycle Management and Sample Management
  • As Laboratory Software Specialist  gives follow up on GAPS and takes lead in and takes part of Lab Systems initiatives and projects, all in cooperation with the global organization and in alignment with the business needs.

What are we looking for

As Laboratory Software Specialist you have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s (MSc) degree in Life Sciences or Computer Sciences
  • Software development and programming experience in laboratory and/or biopharmaceutical setting. This is a strict requirement
  • Within this setting, you have a minimum of 2 years of work experience. Very experienced candidates are encourtaged to apply  
  • You have excellent project management skills and proactively get to action when gaps are identified. Lean/Six Sigma experience is desirable
  • This means that you are good at planning, prioritation and communication at different levels of an organisation 
  • Written and oral communication skills in English. Dutch is desirable.
