What are you going to do?
As a Lead Analyst in Histology & Pathology, you will serve as a technical specialist and key point of contact in the laboratory. You will also be actively involved in monitoring and optimizing the quality of laboratory tests. Below is an overview of your diverse responsibilities:
- Leading quality meetings with other departments, such as R&D, Pathology, and Histology.
- Performing routine histochemical and immunohistochemical analyses.
- Ensuring and enhancing quality standards according to ISO 17025 and GLP guidelines through the creation of SOPs, validations, and development projects.
- Conducting research projects and implementing improvements in laboratory procedures in collaboration with pathologists.
- Coordinating laboratory activities within the histology department in collaboration with senior analysts.
- Assisting in various areas of the laboratory during peak workloads.
What do we ask?
For the position of Lead Analyst in Histology & Pathology, we are looking for an HBO-educated candidate with experience in histotechnology and various quality systems, such as ISO 17025 and GLP. Additionally, you align with the following profile:
- You have at least 5 years of experience in histology, immunohistochemistry, in-situ hybridization, and working with animal tissues.
- You possess in-depth knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 17025 and GLP and are familiar with QA-related tasks.
- You are responsible, precise, and have a strong sense of quality, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- You are comfortable taking the lead and implementing necessary changes in quality processes.
- You have excellent proficiency in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Where will you be working?
This company is an internationally oriented and sustainable organization dedicated to the health of livestock and companion animals. Its state-of-the-art and extensive laboratory in Deventer conducts numerous laboratory analyses to support animal health. This position is available within the Histology department, which consists of approximately 10 team members and specializes in various histotechnical procedures such as in-situ hybridization and immunocytochemical techniques. The team atmosphere is enthusiastic and friendly, with work carried out in a structured and organized manner
