What are you going to do?
As the Department Manager Sample Preparation, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of daily routines within the sample preparation department. This department plays a vital role in the analysis process and contributes to the accuracy and reliability of test results. Your tasks will include:
- Daily leadership and direction to the sample preparation department (45 FTEs divided over 3 teams), ensuring optimal cooperation with other departments.
- As Department Head, you coordinate and optimize the processes within the department to achieve results quickly, maintaining a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and correct compliance with regulations and guidelines in sample preparation.
- Responsible for the planning, development, and training of employees.
- You initiate improvement projects to optimize processes.
- You report to the production manager of the laboratory.
What do we ask?
For the position of Department ManagerSample Preparation and Logistics, we are seeking a communicative and stress-resistant people manager with at least a completed HBO/MSc degree in analytical chemistry, biotechnology, or management. Furthermore, you should recognize yourself in the following profile:
- You bring at least 5 years of experience in a similar management role, preferably gained within a laboratory setting.
- You are communicatively skilled and have strong organizational abilities to lead a diverse group of employees.
- As a person, you are driven, solution-oriented, and aim to deliver high-quality results.
- Knowledge of quality standards (ISO-17025) and process optimization is considered a strong advantage.
- You have expertise in various chemical analysis techniques and sample preparation processes.
- You speak fluent English and Dutch.
(40 hours/week)
