Senior Quality Assurance Advisor

What will your job be

As a Senior Quality Assurance Advisor, you will be responsible for the alignment in the way of working with suppliers and external manufacturers to assure food safety and material compliance. In this role, you will also have a supporting role in continuous improvement of and support in Quality Assurance processes to assure compliance and development. Your responsibilities include:

• Assure quality & food safety compliance of purchased materials (ingredients, packaging, and service providers) with focus on suppliers and external manufacturers
• Have an effective supplier complaint handling process in place 
• Review, approval and maintenance of relevant supplier information within the Food & Beverage Product information system 
• Challenge the content of Standard Product Information in close cooperation with the appropriate stakeholders (eg. Expert, Product managers, Product Application Specialist, Regulatory Affairs)
• Project member of projects for selection and onbaording of new external manufacturers, suppliers and (raw) materials
• Perform (risk-based) external manfacturer and supplier (qualification) audits (including reporting) for food ingredients, packaging material and finished products
• Monitor and follow-up of audit results to assure compliance to food quality standards

What are we looking for

As a Senior Quality Assurance Advisor you recognize yourself in the following profile:

• BSc / MSc degree in Food Technology (or equivalent)
• 3-5 years operational Quality Assurance experience and auditing in the Food industry (manufacturing or business)
• Affinity with food processing and technical knowledge of production processes to ensure sound technical judgment on quality issues
• Experience of communicating to different levels (management to shop floor) and dealing diplomatically with internal/external customers
• Sensitive to organizational and cultural dynamics (organizational awareness)
• Strong communication skills in English. Dutch language skills are strongly preferred.
